The small number of corresponding funding applications and the large number of applications since its pioneering use demonstrate the need – and the lack of suitable venues. At the CCCC, architecture becomes a stage, a workshop, a place to gather. Balconies, staircases, and open structures allow training, performances, and encounters to flow seamlessly into one another. The space does not follow a rigid building plan, but grows artistically – through appropriation, change, and transformation. Sustainability is at the forefront: with modular structures, simple means, and ecological materials. The CCCC is not a finished building but a process, a transition zone between everyday life and the circus world – a place where the extraordinary becomes visible.
