About FREAKY #jam
Normally FREAKY takes place every Sunday. As part of Zeit für Zirkus 2022, we are shifting our #jam to Saturday morning. For the first 30 minutes a physical introduction is given that offers some tools for the following open jam session. The jam goes maximum 120 minutes.
About FREAKY - movement laboratory & training
FREAKY - movement laboratory & training is an experimental format for movement research and knowledge exchange, a laboratory for physical training. The desire and vision is to learn from each other, support each other with individual resources, grow together and create an interdisciplinary community in Cologne and beyond.
The format is initiated by the FREAKY Pool, a group of more than 30 local professional dance and circus practitioners. Overhead Project acts as host company for space and organization.
Each session is led by people from the local scene who have a professional background in acrobatics, dance, acting, physical theater, etc., allowing for a very diverse range of body practices. FREAKY is open to all levels and disciplines.
