About Boîtes Blanches

"Boîtes Blanches" kicks in as your antidote when facing tricky times, bad moods or desperate feelings. The piece inspires, uplifts and puts that little spell on you. Presented by two ridiculous performers who certainly have seen better days. Together with a bunch of whitish cardboard boxes there are largely enough ingredients for a remarkable piece of nonverbal stage art inspired by human being. With Alessandro Di Sazio and Tobias Wegner

About Les Boxeurs

Alessandro Di Sazio, a former breakdancing champion, has been working as a dancer and acrobat with various contemporary circus groups. He co-founded InPulse - a performing arts company which launched an award-winning show called TORTURED MIND at the Birmingham BE Festival. Alessandro is also working as a choreographer and director for circus shows and Berlin’s state circus school.

Tobias Wegner graduated from the national school of contemporary circus arts in Belgium, Brussels. Since 2003 he has been working as a performing artist and took part in countless stage projects and cross-genre collaborations combining elements of theatre, dance and circus. His solo performance LEO won 3 major theatre awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has been presented more than 1000 times in 35 countries to date.
Hajo Schüler - the piece’s director - originally graduated from Folkwang-Hochschule Essen as a mime actor. He is co-founder and artistic director of the renown Berlin-based physical theatre company "Familie Flöz“ who are famous for having reinvented mask theatre with their numerous internationally celebrated productions. Besides acting and directing Hajo designs and builds the masks for his company and teaches at performing arts schools such as Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich.

About Pfefferberg Theatre

The main focus of the Pfefferberg theatre is on theatre, dance and contemporary circus. Originality, dramaturgical concept and the level of circus skills are very important to us. As we are a theatre with a typical box set scene we are looking for productions that are closer to the stage than to the manege. We are also working with people with disabilities and all requests in that field are welcome.
