Inside Juggling thematizes the relationship of man to his media image between authenticity, staging and optimization.
With clubs, selfie sticks and live projection Liza van Brakel twists our perceptions of reality. She takes the audience into a world of colorful images and visual manipulations, full of unexpected moments and choreographic sophistication. Hippana.Maleta shows the first work results of a new stage play that will premiere in 2024.

About the Company
Hippana.Maleta is a Cologne-based artist group led by Jonas Schiffauer and Alex Allison. Since 2018, the two jugglers have been sharing their vision of circus, poetry, and performance, using juggling and object manipulation to research questions around people and technology.
Christoph Rummel has been a juggler and stage artist for 20 years. In the past, he often performed at juggling conventions, but today he performs at conventions of international corporations. He explores comedy and business art, has been on the stages of international variety and circus festivals and has performed in renowned variety productions. Christoph performs between show act and contemporary circus with a wealth of experience in movement arts and stillness practices.

About the Location
Founded in 1920, the studiobühneköln is the oldest existing German university theater. Since the late 1960s, entire cohorts of students have sought and explored the theoretical and practical possibilities of artistic work at the university. Through this process, the field of action of the studiobühneköln expanded beyond the medium of theater to a production site for theater and film, which established itself within the university and opened up to the city as a well-known experimental theater house.
