CIRCA | Humans 2.0

12 nov / 20:00 | 13 nov / 19:00 + 22:00 | 14 nov / 18:00
Chamäleon Theater

A symphony of circus, sound and light. Circa's most revolutionary circus work to date. Humans 2.0

Eleven bodies appear in a flash of light. For a brief moment they move in harmony before lapsing into an oblivious trance. Towers of people arise and collapse, bodies shoot through the air and are caught. The limits of what is physically possible are explored.

Circus Schatzinsel

Is age just a number or much more than that? This dance-theatre-circus performance explores the stigma of getting old, being young and all its judgements, of becoming and changing. Personal stories from the lives of the individual actors are the starting points of this colourful journey.

Olivier Meyrou mit Matias Pilet / Leonardo Ferreira | La Fuite (Die Flucht)

14 nov / 16:00
Centre Francais Berlin, organized by Maison des Francophonies

A little circus gem for the whole family! He runs, his backpack strapped to his back. A vagabond, a fugitive of yesterday or today, struggling with the obstacles that life puts in his way. The film and theater director Olivier Meyrou has come up with this little circus format in which he reinvents the figure of the clown that once provided the glory days of silent cinema. Whether big or small, the audience laughs at what happens to this character.

The performance is part of the Festival des Francophonies in Berlin, organized by the Maison des Francophonies in CFB under the patronage of the French and Tunesian embassies.

We create this world in which we can hold on, let go, slip away, flee, defend, feel good, barricade ourselves, refuel, hurt and become impenetrable. In the solo performance AT"[h](o) "ME, a TRIpol and a performer meet and express themselves by creating another disturbing and bizarre universe with the things of this world.

Audience discussion following the screening.

The children's and youth circus Salto will also show a colorful, approximately 30-minute potpourri from its diverse ensembles in advance of the program.

A funny and gentle moment to share with children and parents.

Cie SCoM | TRAIT(S)

14 nov / 11:30 + 17:00
Salle des fêtes, Forbach

Inspired by the paintings of Kandinsky, Miró and Delaunay, the company SCoM has devised a show for the very young. Here, the circus becomes graphic and painting becomes acrobatic. A circus artist spins with and in the Cyr-wheel. Soaked in paint, it is now more than a circus apparatus and functions as a paintbrush. A special visual and audio experience, a hymn to artistic creation and imagination.
